Substance Exposed
Infants Committee
About
Drug use during pregnancy can have life-long impacts on the mother and the unborn child. The Substance Exposed Infants Committee addresses drug use during pregnancy, creating resources for providers and clients, and advocating for standard guidelines on drug screening and testing. We provide education on the effects of drugs and ways to help women with their addiction.
Mission
To create a supportive, nonjudgmental system of care for substance-exposed infants and their families by addressing systemic barriers, improving access to resources, and fostering collaboration among healthcare, community, and social service providers.
Vision
A future where families impacted by substance use receive equitable and evidence-based support ensuring the health and well-being of both parents and infants.
